The Tectonic Geodesy working group at RUB is developing approaches to improve the monitoring of active plate boundaries with geodetic data. We combine geodetic data analyses with geophysical modeling techniques and complementary datasets (such as seismic data products) to characterize the evolving state along various fault systems worldwide.

We are looking for someone with research experience and continued interest in the topics of earthquake cycle geophysics, geodynamics, or applied machine learning. We expect that suitable candidates will have experience in two or more of the following topics:
We expect the successful candidate to pursue their own research on topics that align with the above-mentioned research interests of the working group.
The position comes with teaching-related duties according to §3 Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung NRW (Teaching Obligation Ordinance of North Rhine-Westphalia)
The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L.
