The Institute for Theoretical Physics I of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Bochum, Germany) invites applications from candidates (m/f/d) with interest in multi-scale plasma processes (magnetic reconnection, turbulence, instabilities), and in innovative numerical methods for the simulation of plasmas.

Your tasks:

Investigation of magnetic reconnection in relativistic plasmas
Model development
Code development

Your profile:
The candidate should be familiar with at least some of the following

(Relativistic) plasma physics
Numerical methods for the simulation of plasmas, preferentially kinetic
High Performance Computing

You are comfortable in a diverse and international environment
