The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum invites applications for the position of a Professor W2 with Tenure-Track W3 (m/f/d) in Theoretical Electrical Engineering commencing as soon as possible.

The future post holder is expected to be scientifically active in the main research areas:
with links to research areas of the faculty and the university. Activities in the field of plasma research are bundled in the Research Department for Plasmas with Complex Interactions. In particular, it is essential that the planned research activities are integrated into the context of current and future Collaborative Research Centre applications and other possible coordinated programmes.
Teaching is to be provided in theoretical engineering, taught in German and English as part of the compulsory and elective courses of all programs offered by the faculty and the future holder of this position is expected to actively participate in shaping selected study focuses of the faculty.
The position will be filled with a tenure track for the professorship to W3. If the evaluation is positive, the professorship will be in an appropriately simplified procedure without a new announcement.
