Your tasks:

•  As successful candidates, you will work on fundamental research projects in Data Science, Digital Transformation, Innovation Economics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and their impact for the economy and society, or related topics,
• prepare publications, present your research at international conferences and get engaged in global research networks,
  
• teach, supervise and counsel students in the fields of Data Science in Economics and Digital Transformation, in particular,
  
• be involved into the activities of the CEIT (Centrum for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Transformation),
  
• support the Chair with administrative tasks
  

Your profile:

• You have very good grades in classes related to Data Science or Empirical Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Mathematics,
  
• a Master degree (M.Sc./ M.A.) in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field,
  
• you are familiar with different programming languages, in particular with R and/or Python,
  
• curiosity-driven, enjoy combining creativity with mathematical precision, and are open to interdisciplinary collaborations,
  
• team-oriented, have high organisational and communicational skills, can work independently and pro-actively, and are reliable,
  
• fluent in written and spoken English.
