The Faculty of Management and Economics, research area Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Controlling, Taxation (FAACT), at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum invites applications for the position of a Professor W3 (m/f/d) in Auditing and Corporate Governance commencing April 1, 2026.

in research and teaching.
We are looking for a person with broad expertise and high didactic competence who represents the field of auditing and corporate governance in research and teaching across the board. The future position holder should ideally focus on the areas of digitalization/artificial intelligence in auditing or the examination of the regulatory framework for corporate governance and control. In addition to excellent performance in quantitative research, participation in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs offered by the faculty in German and English is required. In addition, a willingness to participate in the continuing education programs offered by the faculty (8a WPO Master's program, etc.) is expected. If the required German language skills are not fully available when taking up the position, it is expected that the candidate will prove his or her ability within 2 years. Furthermore, it is expected that the future chair holder will play a key role in shaping the transfer activities of the faculty and will transfer own research findings into practice.
