The department of Biochemistry of Neurodegenerative Diseases of the Faculty of Medicine is looking for a
temporary in part-time
(19,915 Std./Wo. = 50,00 %, 3 years), starting as soon as possible.
The project is in collaboration with the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV (https://www.solvation.de/) and the student will be in the Integrated Graduate School Solvation Science (https://www.solvation.de/career/graduate-school).
In the planned project we will specifically address the role liquid-liquid phase separation in the formation of protein aggregates with neurotoxic potential. To address this aim, a variety of approaches including in vitro, and cell culture have been established (https://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/biochem/neurodeg/public.html.en)

The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). Depending on the fulfilment of the personal and collective agreement requirements, the position is classified in pay group 13 of the TV-L. If the position is funded by third-party funds the employee has no teaching obligation.
If the funding at the time of recruitment is exclusively from external third-party funding sources, there is no obligation for the employees to take on teaching duties.
