Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology:
Chair of Microsystemstechnology

In order to fill a fixed-term position in full-time (39.83 hours/week = 100%) at the earliest possible date, we are looking for  one

Doctoral Researcher (m/f/x) in microsystems technology

The Chair for Microsystem Technology explores innovative microactuators and microsensors from basic research to application-specific solutions. Projects are performed in a broad cooperation with researchers and industrial partners. The technological implementation is performed in our 600 sq m cleanroom facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Our research projects include the investigation of new concepts for electrostatic actuators, self-sufficient sensors and systems for THz applications, their simulation and design as well as their realization and characterization. The research is performed in a cooperative team of excellent scientists and highly skilled clean room specialists. For more details, please visit www.mst.ruhr-uni-bochum.de or contact us directly. This employment provides the opportunity to obtain a doctoral degree.

You will work on the collaborative research project investigating MEMS-based high-speed beamsteering concepts for THz radiation. This subproject (S01) is part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center / Transregio 196 MARIE (https://www.trrmarie.de/ sfbtrr196marie/). The central task is to explore and to develop electrostatic actuator systems to be integrated into THz systems.
