We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/x) position in the field of social and/or environmental psychology. The Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/x) will be a member of the Social and Environmental Psychology department (chair: Prof. Wilhelm Hofmann). We study a broad array of topics in social and environmental psychology, including self-control, cooperation, morality, political attitudes such as policy acceptance, and sustainable as well as health behaviors. From a methodological perspective, we strive to combine the rigor of experimental research paradigms with the external validity and richness of behavioral data from everyday life (as measured, for instance, with ecological momentary assessment). The postdoctoral researcher (m/f/x) is expected to develop or expand an innovative research program under the supervision and mentoring of Prof. Hofmann with collaborative opportunities across the team. The position includes a teaching commitment (e.g., research-oriented seminars at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level). Knowledge of German is helpful but not required. The salary is based on the German TVL-13 scale (100%). The contract is limited to 3 years.
We are looking for a motivated and collegial researcher (m/f/x) with the following qualifications:
The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L.

The place of work is Ruhr University Bochum.The position is offered within the framework of the “New Career Paths” program at RUB and enables candidates to qualify further (“established researcher”; “leading researcher”). The goal is, in addition to obtaining scientific qualifications, to provide timely advice on further career steps.
