The Chair for Information Security of the Faculty of Computer Science is looking for a

PhD Position (m,f,x) for 3 years with 39,83 hours per week (TV-L E13)

CASA is based at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security. It is regarded as one of the top research institutions, is home to Europe's largest IT security training programs, maintains extensive networks with the scientific communication and industry, and has produced numerous successful cyber security start-ups. In addition, the Max Planck Society established the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy in the immediate vicinity of the cluster, which has a particularly stimulating effect on research in CASA. We are looking for a suitable PhD candidate interested in the following Fundamental Research Project: "Second-Layer Solutions for Permissioned Blockchains" (Supervision: Ghassan Karame, Chair for Information Security, Ruhr-Universität Bochum)

Your profile: Required Experience & Skills:

Master degree in Computer Science or related field,
excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English,
background in the areas of IT security and privacy, system security.
