We are looking for a personality with a scientifically outstanding track record and a strong commitment to fundamental research, who publishes with high international visibility and knows how to inspire students and employees. Practical professional experience and a good network in the construction practice of structural engineering are of advantage. The future holder of the position should expand the existing areas of specific expertise at the department and actively develop them further. Outstanding achievements in several of the following areas are preferred:
The KIB/KON experimental laboratory hall of the department is available for experimental research and is extensively equipped for large-scale experiments including a modular furnace. Further, a boundary-layer wind tunnel for investigations into the aerodynamics of buildings is available.
